Katsina Police Operation Nabs Notorious Drug Baron Muhammad Isma’il in Malumfashi Crackdown

In a swift operation on January 3, 2024, at approximately 1300 hrs, law enforcement acted on credible intelligence, leading to the arrest of Muhammad Isma’il, a 30-year-old resident of B.C.G.A. Quarters, Malumfashi LGA, identified as a suspected notorious drug baron.
The suspect's illicit activities came to light when information reached the Malumfashi divisional police station, prompting immediate action by detectives under the leadership of the DPO Malumfashi, resulting in the successful apprehension of Isma’il.
Upon a thorough search of the premises, authorities discovered forty-five (45) bags of dried leaves believed to be Indian hemp, five hundred (500) bottles of a substance associated with illicit activities, and a quantity of D5 tablets in the suspect's possession.
In the course of interrogation, Isma’il confessed to the offense and implicated Ibrahim Kisko, who is currently at large, as his accomplice. The suspect, along with the seized exhibits, is set to be transferred to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further discreet investigation.
